HICKSVILLE, NY - From Hicksville Public School District: For the fourth consecutive year, the Hicksville School District has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education.

The Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students. To qualify for the designation, the district answered detailed questions about funding, graduation requirements, music class participation, instruction time, facilities, and support for music programs.

“This is an amazing honor and a testament to the dedication of our talented student-musicians and the commitment made to the performing arts by our board of education, administration and the entire Hicksville community," said Hicksville Supervisor of Fine Arts Philip Grusenmeyer. “We are truly proud to be named one of NAMM’s Best Communities for Music Education, and it’s evidenced by so many wonderful accomplishments and performances!”
