Hicksville Public Schools: ASL Honor Society Plants Flags For Memorial Day

Ahead of Memorial Day, members of Hicksville High School’s American Sign Language (ASL) Honor Society displayed American flags on the school’s front lawn. Prior to planting the flags, students volunteered their time to prepare them and get them ready for the outdoors. The event was student-led, as some members of the ASL Honor Society have family members in the military. It was a way for students to honor those who lost their lives in service to their country on this Memorial Day. Hicksville Public Schools will offer COVID testing to district employees and students only on a voluntary basis. Please use the link on the flyer to make an appointment in advance to ensure testing availability.
