Man, 35, Stabbed In Back Near His Hicksville Home: NCPD

BREAKING: Police said he was stabbed once by an unknown attacker, and he was taken to a nearby hospital where he is in stable condition.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A 35-year-old man was stabbed in the back while walking on Old Country Road within a few blocks of his home in Hicksville on Saturday, Nassau County police said.

Detectives said that at about 10:45 p.m., the man was walking on Old Country Road and he was stabbed once in the back by someone he could not identify. He ran into his home and a family member called 9-11, police said. The man was transported by a Nassau County police ambulance to a nearby hospital for “assessment and treatment,” and he is currently in stable condition, police said.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information was available from police.
