Man Crashes Car Into Cross Walk Signal, Strikes Church Wall

The man was hospitalized after the crash on Saturday morning.

HICKSVILLE, NY — One person was injured after crashing a car into a cross walk signal and striking the wall around a church in Hicksville on Saturday morning, according to officials. At 11:10 a.m. the Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department and Nassau County Police Units responded to the crash at the intersection of East Cherry Street and Broadway.

The driver of this car lost control and left the roadway, knocking down a cross walk signal before hitting the wall surrounding a nearby church. The driver was transported to Nassau University Medical Center by NCPD Ambulance.
