The Nassau County-based confectionary manufacturer and distributor expanded its product range in the acquisition.
HICKSVILLE, NY — Hicksville's Nassau Candy has acquired certain assets of Island Natural, according to a release from Nassau Candy. The acquisition expands Nassau Candy's presence in the northeast while widening the company's range of products.
Island Natural, a natural product sales and distribution company, was founded in 1979. Their customer base includes grocers, supermarkets, natural food stores, gourmet stores, pharmacies, food co-ops and restaurants, the release says.
Island Natural's president and founder, Paul Burstyn, said in the release that the company will have a more robust online presence and a wider distribution network through Nassau Candy.
