Police say a Nassau County highway patrol officer was seriously hurt in a one-car crash Monday night.

OLD WESTBURY, NY — A Nassau County police officer was seriously hurt in a one-car crash Monday night in Old Westbury.

The crash happened around 11 p.m. Monday on Glen Cove Road, near The Pines, police told Patch. The officer suffered serious injuries that are not considered life-threatening. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police declined to describe her injuries and would not say how long she has been on the force.
