Stormy, Unsettled Weather In Long Island Forecast
The Monday morning commute doesn't look good. Here is the work week weather forecast for Long Island.

What a temperature change on Long Island from Saturday to Sunday. It was downright chiller Sunday and the cooler temps will continue on Monday as rain and possibly thunderstorms move into the area late Sunday and Monday morning.
Anywhere from a half inch to one inch of rain is expected and thunderstorms are possible after 2 a.m. Monday. Fog may also be a concern in the morning too. More showers are possible on Tuesday, and after that the weather improves with more sun and temps in the 70s expected.
The National Weather Service says, "Rain develops across the region tonight as low pressure along the Mid Atlantic coast begins to move northeast. Lows will range mainly from the lower to middle 50s.

During Monday morning the rain will taper to light showers as low pressure begins to pull off the coast. Partial clearing will take place during the afternoon from west to east. Temperatures will continue to average below normal with highs remaining in the 60s.
Dry conditions are expected during Monday night along with seasonably cool temperatures before the next system approaches from the northwest on Tuesday. "This will bring an increasing chance of showers during Tuesday afternoon and evening," the National Weather Service says.
