Whole Foods Market plans to open a new location in Westbury, the company told Patch.

WESTBURY, NY — Whole Foods Market plans to open a location in Westbury. A spokesperson for the company confirmed the store plans to Patch on Monday, noting there are no plans to close the Manhasset store, which is about 9 miles northwest.
Details about where exactly the upscale grocer would open in Westbury weren't immediately known.
Whole Foods was acquired for $13.7 billion in 2017 by the internet e-commerce giant Amazon. The opening comes as Amazon and Whole Foods try to tackle the challenges of delivering fresh groceries at an affordable price, The New York Times reported last month.
