2 Islip Schools Operating On Full-Remote All Week
The school district hopes to return to hybrid learning at both schools next Monday.
ISLIP, NY — Two Islip schools will remain on full-remote this week in light of the coronavirus pandemic. Both Islip High School and Islip Middle School will be closed for the week of Dec. 7. However, school official hope that students will be able to return to hybrid schedule beginning next Monday.
According to the New York state school COVID-19 report card, as of Thursday the middle school has six total positive cases including five students and one staff member.
The high school has eight total positive cases including six students and two employees.

The Islip school district also launched an after hours COVID hotline. Anyone in the district who receives a positive coronavirus test after hours can call 631-650-8280.
