7-Year-Old Boy Found Unresponsive In Pool: SCPD

The child was hospitalized in serious condition after he was found unresponsive in the pool of a Great River home Thursday afternoon.

GREAT RIVER, NY — A 7-year-old boy is in serious condition after he was pulled from a pool at a Great River home Thursday afternoon, according to Suffolk police.

Officers responded to the Pinetree Lane home at 1:30 p.m. after a 911 caller reported the child was found unresponsive in the home’s pool.

The boy, who is a relative of the home's occupants, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore in serious condition. He is expected to be transferred to Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center in New Hyde Park.
