Car Drives Straight Through Islip Home
The car crashed into the front of the home and continued through the house, ending up in the backyard.

ISLIP, NY — No injuries were reported after a car crashed through into an Islip home on Monday afternoon, according to the Islip Fire Department.
The crash was reported at the home on Kempster Avenue off South Saxon Avenue at about 1:18 p.m.
Firefighters found that the car went through the garage door, continuing through a back wall and then out a sunroom into the backyard of the home.

Those inside the car were able to get out of the car and were uninjured in the collision. No injuries were reported to anyone inside the home.
The back wall of the garage was deemed unstable from the crash and firefighters used the Islip FD Collapse Rescue Trailer to shore up the wall for structural integrity.

The Town of Islip fire marshal and Building Inspectors were on scene to evaluate the home.
Suffolk police also responded to the scene and it appears no arrests were made.
