Southern State Reopened After Fatal Car Crash
The crash that killed two people shut down a portion of the parkway Friday morning.
ISLIP, NY - Two people are dead and two more injured after a one-car crash on the Southern State Parkway on Friday morning, State Police confirmed.
The fatal crash occurred on the westbound side of the highway near Exit 41A at 10:20 a.m.
The westbound parkway was closed for several hours at Exit 41A. As of 3 p.m., all lanes have been reopened.
