Firefighters Free Woman Trapped In Car After Overturn Crash
The woman was hospitalized following the crash on Wednesday night.

ISLIP, NY - A driver was hospitalized after an overturn crash in Islip on Wednesday night.
Members of the Islip Fire Department and Suffolk Police responded to the crash on Saxon Avenue between Geneva Street and Fitchburg Street at about 9:50 p.m.
Responding firefighters found the woman trapped inside the car in the driver's seat.

Crews then used the Hurst tool, or the "Jaws of Life," to remove the trapped driver.
Once she was extricated, the driver was then transported by Exchange Ambulance of the Islips to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.

She was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
