
The National Weather Service has issued the following hazardous weather outlook for Long Island:
Strong low pressure passing through the Great Lakes and into southeastern Canada Sunday and Monday is expected to produce strong winds across the area late Sunday night and Monday. While winds are currently expected to range primarily between 25-35 mph with gusts between 40-55 mph, there is a low potential for damaging wind gusts of up to 60 mph.

Saturday- Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Wind chill values between 30 and 40. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night- Rain, mainly after midnight. Low around 36. Southeast wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Sunday- Rain, mainly before 3pm. High near 52. Southeast wind 10 to 13 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.

Sunday Night- A 30 percent chance of rain, mainly before 7pm. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 33. Wind chill values between 25 and 30. Breezy, with a west wind 17 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.
Monday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 40. Windy, with a west wind 21 to 29 mph, with gusts as high as 49 mph.
Monday Night- Clear, with a low around 19. Breezy.
Tuesday- Sunny, with a high near 34.
Tuesday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 18.
Wednesday- Mostly cloudy, with a high near 34.
