BAY SHORE, NY - If you're looking for a new companion, consider starting your search at a local animal shelter like the Islip Animal Shelter. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, many pets are still looking for their forever homes and shelters are still working to fulfill adoptions.

One of their available pets is Fauna, a 1-year-old female Siamese mix.

Fauna and 3 other cats were left outside in carriers in the cold weather. This gorgeous female Siamese mix is about a year old. She is shy and scared and would do best in a quiet home.
