Islip Adoptable Pet Of The Week: Rico

BAY SHORE, NY - If you're looking for a new companion, consider starting your search at a local animal shelter like the Islip Animal Shelter. Despite the coronavirus pandemic, many pets are still looking for their forever homes and shelters are still working to fulfill adoptions.

One of their available pets is Rico, a 6-year-old male Pinscher male mix.

Rico is a 6 year old Pinscher x who has been with us since March. He needs a special owner willing to give him time to decompress and get comfortable in his new home. Rico needs time to warm up to new people, but once he does he is a fun little dog who loves to play with toys but doesn't like to share them or his food! Due to this Rico needs a home with no kids or other dogs. He may not be able to live with other dogs but he does like to meet new 4 legged friends and go for walks together. Rico needs some training on and off leash.
