BAY SHORE, NY - If you're looking for a new companion, consider starting your search at a local animal shelter like the Islip Animal Shelter.

One of their available pets is Riley, a 5 to 6-year-old male Cattle dog mix.

Riley is a sweet 4-5 year old Cattle Dog X. He tested well with dogs so far but he can be a little dominant when meeting new friends (especially females). He doesn't seem to have any interest in cats but will be tested further. He doesn't know many commands and needs to learn to have manners when playing with other dogs so will need an owner willing to work with him. Riley is pretty low key and loves laying in the grass, being pet, and getting brushed. If you are looking for a pal to sit back and relax with, come down and ask to meet Riley!
