ISLIP, NY - An Islip restaurant has officially closed its doors.

Opa Greek Restaurant, located on 260 Islip Avenue, announced it has shut down via a sign on the door.

It is unknown how long the restaurant was closed, but the sign was discovered on Thursday.

The message, signed by the "Opa family," does not give a reason for the closing but did say:

"It is with deep regret that we have officially closed Opa Greek Restaurant Our family appreciates your patronage over the years and the great memories."
