Islip High School Varsity Girls Soccer Wins County Championship

The team became champions after defeating Sayville in the championship game last week.

ISLIP, NY — The Islip High School's varsity girls soccer team are Suffolk County champions!

The team earned the title of Suffolk County champions after a 1 to 0 victory over Sayville.

The game was held at North Babylon High School on April 24.

The game-winning goal was scored by freshman Carly Herrington, putting the second-seeded Lady Bucs on top of No. 4 seed Sayville.

Goalie Kaeli McAnally made 12 saves in the Class A finals contest.
