Islip Middle School seventh grader Gavin Connell recently found a heartwarming way to give back to his community, inspired by the TLC show “Extreme Couponing.”

For four months during the height of the pandemic last year, Connell and his mother Ilene Davidson collected coupons each week at CVS and used them to buy diapers and other baby supplies in bulk to donate to needy families via Fountainhead Congregation church ministry in East Northport.
