Islip School Budget, Trustee Election Results Are In

The budget includes a 2 percent increase in the school tax levy.

ISLIP, NY — Residents in the Islip School District have approved a 2021-21 school budget by a margin of 796 to 448.

The $88.7 million budget is a 1.37 percent increase over the current year and includes a 2 percent increase in the school tax levy, within the state's tax cap.

Incumbents Tom Leggio, Paul Austin, and Eric Buehler, who all ran unopposed, won seats on the school board.

Tom Leggio - 942 votes
