Andrew Scimeca has been named the new director of facilities for the Islip School District, replacing Brian Graham.

Scimeca comes to Islip from the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District, where he served as director of facilities and transportation. He previously worked as a custodial supervisor for the Connetquot Central School District, a head custodian for the Miller Place School District and a custodian for the North Babylon School District.
A Mastic resident, Scimeca earned his associates’s degree from Suffolk County Community College, his bachelor’s degree in facilities management and industrial technology from Farmingdale State College, and his MBA in business management from Empire State College.
