Islip Town To Conduct 19 Weddings On Valentine's Day

ISLIP, NY - Valentine's Day will be extra special for 19 local couples who will be getting married at Islip Town Hall this holiday.

Town Clerk Olga Murray’s office will conduct the unprecedented weddings for all the couples on Wednesday starting at 9 a.m.

Due to the overwhelming popularity of a Valentine’s Day wedding, the office extended its 2018 hours until 8 pm.

“Our staff is ready,” Murray said. “It’s such a special day for the bond to begin, and you’ll never forget your wedding anniversary."

In addition to a certificate of marriage, the newlyweds will leave with a memento from Islip Town Hall, a candle memorializing the day.
