Man Struck by Car in Islip
The 36-year-old was seriously injured after being struck Thursday night.
ISLIP, NY – A 36-year-old man was struck by a car in Islip Thursday night, Suffolk Police said.
The man was crossing Union Boulevard at Nassau Avenue when he was struck by a 2014 Nissan SUV traveling eastbound on Union Boulevard at about 9:45 p.m.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported by Islip Exchange Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the Nissan, a 46-year-old Central Islip man, was not injured. The Nissan was impounded for a safety check. No criminal charges have been filed.
