Mid-Summer Night Dances Held at the Vanderbilt Museum

Enjoy a warm summer night learning new dance moves from professional instructors

Bring your friends to the Vanderbilt's Mid-Summer Night Dances at the Vanderbilt Museum, held on most Thursday nights for a night of dancing in the warm evening air. The dances begin around 6:00 pm and end at 9:30 pm. Learn new dance moves with instructions each week in a different dance step from Merengue, West Coast Swing, Foxtrot and Bachata, to Rumba, East Coast Swing, and Salsa.

The Summer dances began on June 29th and are held on most Thursdays through August 31. The dances have been some of the most popular events and are held in the Celebration Tent next to the Vanderbilt Mansion rain or shine. The dances begin with professional instructors teaching the featured dance step of the week, followed be a deejay playing all sorts of music for all types of dance moves. People who attend are encouraged to bring a picnic dinner and beverages.
