Breaking waves of 9-13 feet along the Atlantic Ocean beachfront will result in widespread beach erosion and flooding during the times of high tide overnight.
Scattered areas of dune erosion are possible, with localized washovers where dune structures have been compromised by earlier storms, the weather service says. Wave splashover may cause minor flooding to a few shoreline roads and properties on the South Shore.
