Police ID 3 Killed In Southern State Parkway Crash

ISLIP, NY — New York State Police identified the three people killed and one injured in a crash on the Southern Street Parkway Friday. On Friday at 10:20 a.m., Ismael Jefferson, 22, of Hempstead, was driving an Infinity sedan west on the parkway when he lost control of the car and hit a tree in the center median, police said.

Jefferson and two passengers, 22-year-old Tony Porter, of Westbury, and 19-year-old Ja-Asia Hasty, of Hempstead, all died, police said. A fourth passenger, 21-year-old Ty-Jeneyah Cruz, of Hempstead, was injured and hospitalized.
