Police Investigating Car Fire Reported In Bank Parking Lot

ISLIP, NY - Suffolk Police are investigating a car fire that was reported in the parking lot of a bank in Islip on Monday night.

The blaze broke out in the back of Chase Bank on 556 Main Street at about 8:10 p.m. A 2005 Land Rover was found completely engulfed in flames.

Suffolk Police and the Islip Fire Department both responded to the scene.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is currently under investigation by the Suffolk County Police Department’s Arson Squad.
