Popular Islip Restaurant To Close For Renovations

ISLIP, NY - Islip residents will have to get their burrito fix while they still can -- the popular Bubba's Burrito Bar announced they will be closing temporarily starting this week.

The local hotspot, located on 513 Main Street, will be closed starting Thursday, Feb. 28 in order to finish renovations, according to a post on the eatery's Facebook page.

The post did not say how long the business will be closed for.

"We are hoping for a quick, smooth transition as we put on the finishing touches to a prolonged, extensive, yet much needed project," the post read. "We will keep you updated throughout the process as we get closer to reopening. We thank you all for your patronage the past 10 years. We look forward to introducing you to the new Bubba’s soon."

The local Tex-Mex restaurant is known for their oversized, unique burritos.
