Supervisor Throws Pitch At LI Ducks Breast Cancer Awareness Night

Supervisor Carpenter was invited onto the field to throw out the honorary first pitch of the game.

From The Town of Islip: Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter recently visited Bethpage Ballpark in Central Islip for the Long Island Ducks' 13th annual Breast Cancer Awareness Night and Jersey Auction. Supervisor Carpenter was invited onto the field to throw out the honorary first pitch of the game.

“It’s locally driven partnerships such as these, which allow us as a community, to develop the support necessary to wage our fight against breast cancer,” said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “I want to extend my gratitude to the Long Island Ducks for their continued support in raising awareness, as well as to all the local breast cancer organizations whose volunteers provide invaluable care and comfort to those affected. Together we can strike-out breast cancer,” the Supervisor added.

Supervisor Carpenter was joined by L.I. Ducks Founder and CEO Frank Boulton, co-owner Buddy Harrelson, President and General Manager Michael Pfaff and representatives from local breast cancer coalitions.
