Teacher Of The Week: Ms. Phyllis Daley​

ISLIP TERRACE, NY — Everybody has a favorite teacher — maybe it's a teacher who went out of their way to make one student's day or a teacher who brightens up a classroom, whether virtually or in-person, every day.

One teacher who deserves a shout-out is Ms. Phyllis Daley, a teacher at South Shore Children’s Center in Islip Terrace. She was nominated by Ellen Mina.

Here's what Mina had to say about Ms. Daley:

Phyllis is an amazing teacher as well as a wonderful woman. She always goes an extra mile for her students. I have had the privilege of working in her classroom and seeing her in action. Her students love her and love school. They are in Preschool and are so ready to go to Kindergarten in September. Phyllis has overcome extreme medical issues and she continues to be in her classroom everyday even when she isn’t feeling her best.
