Town Of Islip: Town Recognizes Central Islip Community Garden Milestone Anniversary

July 2nd, 2021 – Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and Councilman John Cochrane recently visited the Central Islip Community Garden to commemorate its 10th Anniversary. Dedicated community garden members from Central Islip plant and grow a variety of flowers and organic vegetables in the garden. This year, garden members plan to implement a Grow and Give program dedicated to fighting food insecurity within the Town, by donating produce to local food pantries that has been grown within the garden.
