Virtual Victories For Islip High School’s Fitness On Demand

Selected students competed in the Regional Business Plan Competition, which feature 120 virtual firms from Long Island.

Islip High School’s Virtual Enterprise International team Fitness on Demand is headed to the second round of the National Business Plan Competition and the final round of the National Human Resources and Marketing Competition.

Selected students competed in the Regional Business Plan Competition, which feature 120 virtual firms from Long Island. Fitness on Demand executives Alexa O’Connor, Emma Hayes, Matthew Koebele, Alize Negrete, Robert Trovato and Thomas Vitale presented Islip’s business plan to a panel of judges, placing in the top five as a result of a combined score of written and oral presentations. In the second round of the competition, set for Feb. 23, Islip will compete to represent New York in the National Business Plan Competition.

Fitness on Demand also placed in a National Human Resources and Marketing competition. In the final round on Feb. 22, 2021, Islip’s presenters – Hayes, Negrete O’Connor and Vitale – will compete against 2,000 firms throughout the United States.
