Virtual Walk-A-Thon Raises More Than $1,000 For Veterans

The students raised more than $1,000 for the Rusy Bohm Post 411 Auxiliary in Islip.

Islip High School and Middle School students were recently recognized by Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter, for participating in the American Legion Virtual Walk-A-Thon.

The students raised more than $1,000 for the Rusy Bohm Post 411 Auxiliary in Islip. The monies will be distributed among various Veterans programs.

Joining the Supervisor are Auxiliary President, Paulette DeCrescenzo; Vice President Joanne Johnson; and school coordinator, Mrs. Renee Clock, Islip High School Business Department.
