WATCH: Thousands Turn Out For Islip Holiday Parade, Tree Lighting

ISLIP, NY - Thousands lined the streets in downtown Islip for the annual, “Illuminated Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting" last week.

The event, presented by the Islip Chamber of Commerce, was held on Saturday, Dec. 1 started on Ocean Avenue and ending at the Islip Town Hall. The lighting followed the parade.

Residents from across the Town turned out to see the many bright lights of local organizations as they paraded through the streets in holiday cheer.

Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter was joined by Councilmembers Mary Kate Mullen and James P. O’Connor, as well as Suffolk County Legislators Tom Cilmi and Steve Flotteron, as they gathered to celebrate the 2018 holiday season.
