Wet, Stormy Weather On The Way

At least it's not snow.

A pretty much perfect spring week on Long Island will be interrupted by rain and possibly thunderstorms Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Up to an inch of rain is expected to fall before we get back to much more agreeable weather on Thursday.

Tuesday- Partly sunny, with a high near 58. Light southeast wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Tuesday Night- Rain, mainly after 11pm. Low around 49. East wind around 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday- Rain, with thunderstorms also possible after 10am. Areas of fog. High near 58. Breezy, with a southeast wind 17 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Wednesday Night- A chance of rain and thunderstorms. Patchy fog before 2am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Thursday- Partly sunny, with a high near 62.

Thursday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 44.

Friday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 62.
