2 Firefighters Hurt In Jackson Heights Laundry Room Blaze: FDNY
A fire broke out in the laundry room of an apartment building in Jackson Heights midday Tuesday, according to the FDNY.

JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS — A fire broke out in the laundry room of an apartment building in Jackson Heights midday Tuesday, according to the FDNY.
The fire started about 1:15 p.m. in a building at the corner of 85th Street and 34th Avenue. It was under control half an hour later, a Fire Department spokesperson said.
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries while they battled the blaze, according to the FDNY. They refused medical attention.
