Call For Help Leads To Subway Train Traffic In Queens
Someone calling for help with another rider on an F train led to severe train traffic in Jackson Heights on Friday morning.

JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS — A medical incident and a subsequent call for help on a subway train led to severe train traffic in Jackson Heights on Friday morning.
A commuter used the subway intercom system just before 10 a.m. to call for help for another rider on a Queens-bound F express train at Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue, according to an MTA source.
Medics removed the straphanger, who was having a medical episode, from the train in serious condition and brought him to a hospital, an FDNY spokesman

Before emergency responders could arrive, three trains backed up behind the stalled F train, because they had passed the point where they could have switched to the local track, the MTA source said.
MTA officials led straphangers through the trains, which were lined up behind one another, to the station.
