EAST ELMHURST, QUEENS — A Brooklyn man was arrested for stabbing a man to death Tuesday night outside a homeless shelter near LaGuardia Airport in East Elmhurst, according to police.

East New York resident Richardo Henry faces charges of second-degree murder and criminal possession of a weapon for the fatal stabbing of an unidentified 38-year-old man in front of the Landing Family Shelter on Ditmars Boulevard, the NYPD said.

EMS rushed the man unconscious and unresponsive to Elmhurst Hospital, where he died.

His attacker was believed to be a former shelter resident, the New York Daily News reported the day after the stabbing.

CAMBA, the nonprofit that runs the East Elmhurst shelter, and the city Department of Homeless Services did not respond to requests for comment Thursday.

The Brooklyn home address police provided for Henry, 34, is a residence for homeless, mentally ill veterans and low-income families.
