JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS — One of Jackson Heights' most hectic intersections is getting a suite of safety upgrades this month.

The city's transportation department is revamping the triangle where Roosevelt Avenue, 90th Street, Case Street and Elmhurst Avenue meet.

At least three people have gotten hurt at that intersection so far this year, according to Vision Zero data. There were three injuries there in all of 2018, the data shows.

Changes include a new crosswalk and painted curb extension at Roosevelt and Case, an expanded crosswalk on Roosevelt between 90th and Elmhurst and new roadway markings.

The agency will also tweak the timing of traffic signals at the intersection.
