Man Arrested, Another Wanted In Robbery Spree Across Queens: NYPD

The pair committed 13 separate robberies across Queens, sometimes minutes apart, in less than a week, police said.

QUEENS, NY -- Two brazen gunmen have robbed more than a dozen people across Queens of wallets, cell phones and jewelry in less than a week, and one of the perps is still at large, police said.

The pair are behind at least 13 separate stickups between July 1 and July 5 in Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst, Flushing, Murray Hill and Middle Village, police said.

Most of the robberies happened just minutes apart, and eight of them were reported just one day, authorities said. The thieves allegedly used a handgun to threaten people into handing over their valuables.

The first string of attacks lasted from July 1 at around 11:30 p.m. to July 2 at around 1:30 a.m. The two men pulled their guns out five times on people anywhere from 18 to 60 years old, demanding they hand over cell phones, wallets, cash and credit cards before fleeing either on foot or in a grey car, police said.

The eight remaining attacks happened on July 5 between 9:05 and 11:05 p.m. The perps made their way through Jackson Heights, East Elmhurst, Flushing and Murray Hill, pointing their guns on people ages 19 to 54 and collecting cash, cell phones, wallets and jewelry, cops said.

The other suspect remains at large. He was later shown on surveillance footage using one of the victim's credit cards in a store.

Cops described him to be about 25 years old, standing at 5-foot-8 and weighing roughly 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white tank top, black shorts with white stripes and white sneakers.
