Man Brutally Beats Traffic Agent In Elmhurst: NYPD
Police are offering up to $2,500 in cash for information on the attacker.

ELMHURST, QUEENS -- Police are offering up cold, hard cash for help finding the man who ruthlessly beat a traffic agent while he was on the job in Elmhurst, authorities said Monday.
The 46-year-old NYC traffic agent was working on Roosevelt Avenue near 84th Street on May 29 at around 3:30 p.m. when the attacker came up behind him and grabbed him by the neck, cops said.
The perp them swept the traffic agent's legs, forcing him to crumble to the ground, where he kicked him repeatedly before fleeing, authorities said.

The traffic agent was sent to Queens Hospital Center, where he was treated for bruising to the back of his head and scrapes along his arms. There was no known motive for the attack, police said.
The NYPD is now offering up to $2,500 for information on the attacker, said Capt. Nicola Ventre, commanding officer of the 110th Precinct, who announced the reward on Twitter.
