Man Killed In Jackson Heights Bodega Shooting

The 31-year-old man was shot multiple times in the chest, police say.

JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS -- A 31-year-old man is dead after he was shot inside a Jackson Heights bodega Thursday night, police said.

Cops found the man unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest after responding to a 911 call of the shooting inside Cinco de Mayo Food Market at 81-06 Roosevelt Ave. He was shot at around 8:15 p.m., authorities said.

Medics rushed the man Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Cops are still investigating a motive for the shooting and no arrests have been made, an NYPD spokeswoman said.
