Man Stabbed To Death Outside East Elmhurst Homeless Shelter: Cops
A man was stabbed to death Tuesday night outside the East Elmhurst homeless shelter where he lived, police and news reports say.

EAST ELMHURST, QUEENS — A man was stabbed to death Tuesday night outside the East Elmhurst homeless shelter where he lived, according to police and news reports.
Police found the 38-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive with stab wounds in his chest about 9:40 p.m. outside the Landing Family Shelter on Ditmars Boulevard, the NYPD said.
EMS rushed the man to Elmhurst Hospital, where he died.

He had gotten into a fight with a man believed to be a former shelter resident, the New York Daily News reported.
Police are still looking for his attacker.
