NYC Subway Delays: Train Rolls Over Person In Queens
The MTA warned of delays on E, F, M and R trains.

NEW YORK — Four subway lines were delayed Friday morning after a train rolled on top of a man who got onto the tracks in Queens, the MTA said.
The MTA got a report of a man being restrained by other customers at the Grand Avenue-Newtown R station at 8:10 a.m. and trains in the area were told to proceed with caution, a spokeswoman for the transit agency said.
The man ultimately jumped onto the tracks and the first car of a southbound M train coming into the station went over him, the spokeswoman said.

Other customers helped the man back onto the platform, the spokeswoman said. It's uncertain whether he was actually hit by the train or whether he was taken to a hospital, she said.
Train service resumed around 8:40 a.m., but the MTA warned of delays on the E, F, M and R lines after the incident, which briefly forced M trains to stop running between Delancey Street-Essex Street and Forest Hills-71st Avenue.

Southbound R and Forest Hills-bound M trains were rerouted, as were some southbound E trains, the MTA said.
The 7 line also saw delays Friday morning after a train's brakes were automatically activated at Flushing-Main Street, according to the MTA.
