Woman Shot In Leg Near Brookville Park: Cops

BROOKVILLE, QUEENS — A 23-year-old woman was shot in the leg in southeast Queens Thursday afternoon, according to police.

The woman was walking along 232nd Street by Brookville Park about 12:30 p.m. when she heard gunshots then started feeling pain, a police spokesperson said.

EMS rushed her to Jamaica Hospital. She is expected to survive, the NYPD spokesperson said.

Police are searching the area for the shooter.
