85-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed In Jamaica Car Crash: NYPD
A Jeep driver hit and killed the 85-year-old man as he crossed the street in Jamaica earlier this week, police said Friday.
JAMAICA, QUEENS — A Jeep driver hit and killed an 85-year-old man as he crossed the street in Jamaica earlier this week, police said Friday.
The driver was heading north on 170th Street about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday when he started turning left onto 89th Avenue and struck a pedestrian crossing the avenue, according to the NYPD.
First responders found the elderly pedestrian laying in the road, unconscious and unresponsive. They rushed him to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he died.
