EMT Accused Of Raping 10-Year-Old Girl In Queens: NYPD
The off-duty paramedic allegedly assaulted the girl while she was sleeping in a Hollis home, reports say.

HOLLIS, QUEENS -- An off-duty FDNY paramedic was arrested early Sunday morning for allegedly choking and raping a 10-year-old girl in a Queens home, police said.
Frantz Petion, 25, is accused of attacking the girl while she was sleeping in the home on 202nd Street in Hollis, New York Daily News reported.
The child -whose family is allegedly friends with Petion - reported the assault a few hours later, according to the Daily News. Cops arrested Petion at around 3:19 a.m., police told Patch.

An NYPD spokesman could not immediately confirm details of the alleged assault to Patch, but did say Petion was arrested on charges of rape, strangulation and acting in a manner injurious to a child.
Petion was suspended for 30 days without pay from his job as an EMT, an FDNY spokesman said.

But his mother, Sarah Petion, told the Daily News she believes her son was set up. She told the news outlet a group of men beat him up so badly that he was sent to the hospital.
"He has problems because he's moving up the ranks and there's a lot of envious people," Sarah Petion told the Daily News.
Petion will likely be arraigned on Monday, court officials said.
