Job seekers in Jamaica can get a leg up on the competition this fall thanks to a series of free workshops at the Queens Public Library.

JAMAICA, QUEENS — Job seekers in Jamaica can get a leg up on the competition this fall thanks to a series of free workshops at the Queens Public Library on professional style and etiquette and how to plan for success.
Author and entrepreneur PK Kersey, who founded a nonprofit called That Suits You to provide free workwear to job seekers, will lead the workshop series starting Sept. 4 at Central Library in Jamaica.

- Oct. 2 – Custom Fittings, Suit Care, and Learn How to Tie a Tie
- Oct. 10 – Professional Style Tips, Image Etiquette, TIE-challenge
- Oct. 30 – What Does Success Man to You and How Are You Planning for It?
Attendees will receive a free necktie from the Queens Public Library's "TIEbrary," which, starting this month, will give donated ties to New Yorkers who need them for job interviews or the workplace.
The ties come with illustrated instructions on how to tie a standard half-Windsor knot and a list of interview tips.
