Gunman Sought For Back-To-Back Cab Robberies In Jamaica: NYPD

The perp robbed two taxi drivers at gunpoint within minutes, police said.

JAMAICA, QUEENS -- Police are searching for a perp who robbed two Jamaica cab drivers at gunpoint in broad daylight just minutes apart from each other.

The man first called a cab service to request a taxi on Aug. 20 at about 11:30 a.m. to 154th Street off 119th Avenue. When the 47-year-old driver arrived, the perp slid into his front seat with a gun and demanded his valuables, cops said.

The driver handed over two cell phones and $185 in cash before the perp bolted from the vehicle, authorities said. He ran down 154th Street and drove away in a red four-door sedan.
